British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has addressed the opening ceremony VIII Global Baku Forum - "The World after COVID-19".

The message of the British prime minister was read by the deputy head of the British diplomatic mission in Baku, Philip Barclay:

"We will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Britain and Azerbaijan next year. Relations between the two countries are at the highest level. Great Britain appreciates the increasing role of Azerbaijan in the world. You have contributed to the combat against drug trafficking as a chairman of the Non-Aligned Movement and played an active role in the defense of Kabul airport in Afghanistan. Azerbaijan has also already joined in the agreement regarding climate change".

Prime Minister noted that Azerbaijan currently implements a demining process of the territories: "I wish development of the relations between two countries even in the future".
